Con-Way Canada driver named Quebec Grand Champ

ST-JEROME, Que. — Gilles Demers, of Con-Way Freight Canada, was crowned Grand Champion of the 55th Quebec Professional Truck Driving Championships held in St-Jerome this month.

Demers and other category winners will represent Quebec at the National Championship in Regina in September.

The Quebec team will be represented by Gilles Demers, tandem (Con-Way Freight Canada); Michel Roy, tridem (Groupe Robert ); Benoit Lestage, quad (Groupe Robert); Mario Desjardins, five axle (L. Simard Transport); Gilles Lefebvre, B-trains (Groupe Robert).
?Other winners included: Rookie of the Year Stéphane Perrusse (Kruger); Benoit Bouchard (Transport O.S.I.) for Best Off-road Performance; and the Best Professional Attitude award went to Gaston Doucet (Kruger).
