Conference to focus on Smart Border initiatives

TORONTO (Feb. 3, 2003) — Supply-chain security will be the focus of a conference on customs issues to be held by the Canadian Association of Importer and Exporters in Toronto April 7-9.

The event, developed primarily for customs and logistics managers, will delve into the intricacies of programs introduced to enhance security and compliance for shipments across the Canada-U.S. border, including Free and Secure Trade (FAST), Customs Self-Assessment, and the Automated Monetary Penalty System (AMPS).
