Cornering the market: Maxim consolidates under one big roof in Winnipeg

WINNIPEG (August 15, 2001) — Maxim Transportation Services., operator of Canada’s largest International Truck & Engine dealer and four other businesses serving the trucking industry, officially opened new corporate headquarters at the corner of Inkster Blvd. and Route 90 in Winnipeg.

The sprawling 85,000-square-foot building — called “Maxim Corner” — houses the company’s truck dealership, equipment rental and leasing business, collision repair operation, parts and service business, and tire-management company. It has a showroom, 21 truck service bays, drive-through service write-up and rental pick-up, driver lounge with laundry room, 18,000-square-foot parts area, and a wash bay for trucks and trailers.

A national fuel supplier is expected to install a cardlock next year, the company said.

Maxim Transportation Services is comprised of five divisions: Maxim International Trucks, Maxim Trailers, Maxim Truck Collision, Maxim Rentals & Leasing, and Maxim Truck Recycling.
