Crude hauler wins internal Mullen award
CALGARY — The Mullen Group says its Heavy Crude Hauling L.P. division has won the company Grand Prize Safety Award (GPSA) for 2007.
Each year since 1997, the Mullen Group awards the GPSA to the business unit displaying best-in-class Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems (HSEMS) and HSE performance.
The GPSA process includes the submission of a formal application by each Mullen Group business unit which is then followed up with a comprehensive audit of 10 specific areas of our business unit’s HSEMS including, among other things: leadership commitment; personnel selection, certification, and training; risk management; regulatory compliance; environmental code of practice; and continuous improvement.
