CTHRC director receives NTW award
EDMONTON, (July 8, 2003) — Linda Gauthier, executive director for the Canadian Trucking Human Resources Council (CTHRC), has received the 2003 Award of Achievement at the National Transportation Week Conference in Edmonton.
The award honours a candidate that has achieved, through innovation and initiative on a particular project or program, “positive and measurable improvement of significant and enduring benefit to transportation.”
Since joining CTHRC in 1995, Gauthier has been involved in developing and delivering train-the-trainer workshops, facilitating focus groups and in developing essential skills profiles and occupational analyses for a variety of occupations within the trucking industry. She has also been responsible for the development of skills upgrading training programs for drivers, and the development of distance learning programs for owner-operators and dispatchers.
