Darshan Kailly retiring after 50-plus years

MONTREAL – – Darshan Kailly is retiring from his job of President and CEO of CF “Managing Movement,” (CFMM) a division of TransForce Inc., after a trucking career that lasted more than 50 years.

Kailly began in November, 1959, with Canadian Freightways in Vancouver.

According to a statement from TransForce, Kailly “performed virtually every function within the company, from rate clerk to secretary treasurer, before being appointed president in June, 1981.

“Through growth and subsequent acquisitions, the size of CFMM quickly grew to over 3,000 employees.

“In his career, Darshan has led CFMM from its regional origins in British Columbia and Albert to become an organization consisting of 14 divisions, spanning across Canada and the U.S.

“Darshan,” the statement continues, “is leaving knowing that the company he helped build is well positioned to remain a strong leader.”
