Day & Ross taps purchasing, operations managers
HARTLAND, N.B. — Atlantic trucking giant Day & Ross recently made two executive appointments.
Fred P. Green was named director of purchasing for the Day & Ross Transportation Group, while Robert E. Haye was appointed to vice-president of operations for the company’s parcel delivery subsidiary Sameday Right-O-Way in Mississauga, Ont.
Haye will oversee the day-to-day operations of all terminal operations across Canada. Haye was formerly with UPS Canada, starting as a package car driver in 1993 before most recently serving as director of security.
Green, formerly the company’s director of fuel purchasing and equipment control, is now responsible for assessing and centralizing all purchasing for all operating supplies and services.
