Bud Barr Scholarship Fund — (Deadline: September 15). The OTA has established an annual scholarship fund to aid a university or college-bound (or already attending) son or daughter of an employee of an OTA member company having a tough time making ends meet as the result of illness, injury or death of their parent.

OTA contributes $5,000 per year for two scholarships ($2,500 per scholarship). Recipients are determined based on need and their parent must be employed by an OTA member company.

The fund is administered by the OTA Education Foundation and is called the Bud Barr Scholarship Fund in recognition of the lifelong commitment to education of the trucking industry’s offspring by Bud Barr. Apply for fund: www.ontruck.org/education/budbarr.php
