Diesel prices keep dropping
NEW YORK — The U.S. average price of a gallon of diesel fell significantly for the third week in a row, falling more than 10 cents to $4.50
According to weekly average figures by the U.S. Energy Information Administration, prices are more than 11 cents lower than the week before.
The highest average was found in the New England region, at $4.70; while the lowest was in the Midwest at $4.40.
Yesterday, world oil prices also fell more than $3 a barrel to $118 — the lowest price in three months.
Oil has fallen more than $25 since setting a closing-price record $145.18 on July 14.
In Canada, diesel prices averaged $1.42 a liter last week — nearly 5 cents a liter less than the week before.
