Dina confident everything will run smooth

Mexico-based Consorcio Grupo Dina has no choice but to wait in order to see where the small company’s medium-duty truck contract with Western Star fits after Freightliner announced last week to buy Western Star.

Freightliner said it still hasn’t figured out what it plans to do with Dina-made products.

Although Dina wasn’t able to make a formal statement, it issued a release stating that unless a different decision is taken, the 10-year contact remains in force.

The Mexican company is confident that all parties “will act in good faith” and will be able to reach a collective agreement.
