Drop a line; IMT adds full drop axle

IMT Corp. has added a full drop design to its line of Ingersoll axles. Developed for trailers with extra low floors, the axle extends the full width of the tube between the brake components. It has a load capacity of 20,000 pounds (with F22 spindles) and comes with 16-1/2-inch-by-7-inch brakes. With F12 spindles, the axle’s capacity is 13,200 pounds and fits standard 15-inch-by-4-inch front axle brakes. You can also use these axles as pushers on trucks that need a low tube position to give clearance for auxiliary equipment. Contact: 519/485-2210 or www.imtpcdf.com

PEOPLENET GIVES SHIPPERS
A TRACK-AND-TRACE WINDOW
Track-and-trace is a blessing and a curse: when a customer calls wanting to know where his load is, you can tell him quickly and accurately. On the other hand, when he’s called three times in the last 20 minutes just ’cause he’s curious…

PeopleNet’s new Shipper View function lets shippers view truck location information on their own in real-time via the Internet. You assign each customer, or anyone else in the supply chain, a password to access a secure web page. You can share your map of fleet information, which can include location, proximity to a pre-defined landmark, and arrival/departure message notification from a pickup or drop off site.
