East flatdeck rates to 72,000 pounds

When margins are slim, you have to look for new ways to maximize payload. That’s the idea behind East Manufacturing’s MMX aluminum flatbed trailer. Rated to handle loads up to 72,000 pounds concentrated in four feet on a 48-foot trailer, the East MMX platform is perhaps the lightest and strongest aluminum platform trailer on the road today.

The design doesn’t skimp on high-quality aluminum in its composition. For example, the main beams and structural cross members use 6061-T6 aluminum, which claims all of the durability of high-tensile-strength steel at less than half the weight.

The East MMX comes standard with an air-ride suspension, the company’s Securetight winch track and locking tie-down system, a water-resistant flat-mounted rear light panel, and Securelight enclosed and insulated wiring.

The MMX’s patented concentrated load package (CLP) builds even more support into an eight-foot floor section to handle extra-concentrated loads like steel coils. This upgrade is available at a nominal charge, East says.
