Eaton’s Terry Lane passes away
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — The Canadian truck industry lost a familiar and friendly face this week with the passing of Terry Lane, a longtime employee and manager with Eaton Truck Components in Mississauga, Ont.
Mr. Lane, who passed away on Saturday, Sept, 16, 2006, began his career as parts manager with Eaton Truck Components 28 years ago this month. After several years of service in the Canadian region, Terry then transferred to the head office located in Galesburg, Mich., where he assumed the role as account manager for the Aftermarket Parts Division. In this position, in addition to his regular duties, Terry set up the Canadian Rebuilt Transmission program.
The Rebuilt Division was eventually merged into the Canadian region, and Terry relocated back to Canada and assumed the role as Canadian region parts manager, overseeing both the Canadian Parts Operation and the Canadian Rebuilt program.
Over the years, Terry earned the respect of both his customers and his colleagues, being extremely well thought of throughout the industry.
He will be dearly missed, both on a professional level and on a personal level by those who have known him over the years. He leaves behind his wife, Joan, who would have celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary in October, and their three daughters, Mary Ellen, Kelly Ann and Sheryl Lynn.
