Emergency Roadside goes Stateside
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Emergency Road Services Canada (ERS) is no more.
The company, which provides quick roadside repairs from truckers across the continent, is now called Emergency Road Services Corporation.
The reason, according to a statement from founders Dawn and Alvis Violo, is that they do a lot of business south of the 49th but some people assume because of their name that they’re limited to Canada.
Although the company’s original plan was to only supply their services in Canada, it was through customer demand that they decided to expand their services into the U.S.
Of the 17,000 service providers that ERS Corp. has put together to provide emergency breakdown services, about half are south of the border.
ERS offers truck companies 24/7 emergency roadside service on a set-fee-per-call basis, with no mark-up on the third-party vendors’ invoices.
Along with a new company name, they have also rolled out a new logo and website domain name.
