ExpoCam around the corner; Space filling up fast

MONTREAL — More than 300 exhibitors from across North America and beyond will preview all the 2007 trucks and latest transportation equipment in the 230,000 sq. ft. exhibit hall that will welcome ExpoCam 2007 in April.

There are thousands of products covering every aspect of trucking including trucks, trailers, heavy-duty parts and accessories, engines and power train components, service shop equipment and supplies, tires, fuels and financial services. All of this is complimented by demonstrations, seminars and workshops. Show visitors can even find out who’s hiring and meet them at the show. It’s Canada’s National Truck Show, taking place in The Show is Quebec’s leading trade event for all those involved in the industry.

This year’s theme for ExpoCam, which takes place April 12 to 14 at Place Bonaventure in Montreal, is “Trucking into the Future,” which is places a heavy emphasis on the impact of new products and technology on Canada’s trucking industry.

Prominent this year are the new ’07 engines with advanced diesel particulate emission control systems. Also on display are the Volvo I-shift automated transmissions, the modular Eaton collision warning system and the Omnivision mobile computing platform from Shaw Tracking. General Motors will launch its new GMC “W” series. Hino will unveil a 2008, 258 LP model equipped with air suspension and air brakes, and a new 152″ wheelbase available on its 268, 308 and 338 models. Chevron Global Lubricants will have a brand new Delo Truck mobile hands-on lubricants laboratory operating on the Show floor.

ExpoCam — the only Quebec truck show to be endorsed by the Quebec Trucking Association and Canadian Trucking Alliance — is where the decision makers in the Canadian trucking industry come to see and buy. An expected 15,000 industry professionals will see the latest developments and new products on the market.

Though most visitors traditionally come from Quebec, this year there will be a delegation from the Chinese trucking industry attending the event.
