ExpoCam truck show goes green

MONTREAL — Saving fuel and operating more efficiently can be the difference between staying in business and becoming another statistic in these tough times.

That’s why ExpoCam 2009 is concentrating on providing fleet owners and managers with a one-stop source of information on products they need to operate more efficiently.

With that in mind, participating exhibitors in the ExpoCam Green Route feature area will showcase products that promote fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.

Canada’s national truck show takes place at Place Bonaventure in Montreal from April 16 to 18.

"We have had an amazing initial response from our exhibitors who are throwing their unqualified support behind the Green Route," says Elizabeth McCullough, show manager.

"It’s gratifying to see that our exhibitors are only too well aware of the issues facing the trucking industry and are doing their part to ensure we all weather the storm."

ExpoCam is held every two years and will be the largest truck show in Canada in 2009. It’s where the decision makers, predominantly from the Quebec trucking industry, come to see and buy.

On all three show days, there will be a series of French-language seminars on subjects with a direct impact on the Quebec trucking industry. Fleet topics will include a technical session on fuel saving strategies and the critical topic of recruiting and retaining employees.

For owner-operators, there will be a session on small business management in tough times. Seminar attendees will receive a free copy of the Transport Routier Green Guide. The Guide, only available at ExpoCam, includes information on fuel-saving techniques and new emission standards.

An expected 17,000 industry professionals will meet more than 275 exhibitors from across North America.
