Fergus about ‘Extreme Power’ in ’06
FERGUS, Ont. — Fergus Truck Show organizers are bringing the USA Pulling “Extreme Power Pulling Series” to the truck show this summer.
“Fergus has featured tractor-pull events in the past, but nothing like this,” says Fergus President Wayne Billings. “This is the real thing: 12,000-hp Top-Eliminators, two-wheel funny trucks, and the super-semis, too. We’ve got it all this year, and it’s the first time the Extreme Power Series has shown in Canada.”
As before, Fergus will still feature the Ontario Mini-rods, Single Engine Modifieds, the local, non-sanctioned pulls featuring 4x4s, and pulls for tandem road tractors, for those who dare. Billings says they will be relocating the pull track to improve grandstand viewing for the event. And, he says they’ve made improvements to the parking scheme for show trucks. “We won’t see the problems we had last year,” he promised.
The event, named one of Ontario’s Best 50 Shows, takes place at the Fergus Fairgrounds, July 21-23, 2006.
