Finning sells lift truck group

EDMONTON (July 18, 2001) — Finning International Inc. has sold its Edmonton-based lift-truck sales and rental division to Tom Leavitt, the general manager of the operation. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The division and a subsidiary, Interior Lift Truck Services, will become part of the newly formed Leavitt Machinery. The new company would assume dealership rights for Mitsubishi/Caterpillar Forklift America and other existing product lines, including Taylor and Manitou forklifts and JLG high-reach equipment.

Finning, headquartered in Vancouver, sells and rents Caterpillar equipment to the construction industry.
