FleetMatics pings Canada for growth
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – Responding to higher industry demand for its GPS tracking devices and other fleet management systems, FleetMatics announced they’re launching a sales office in Canada.
David Brown is the VP of Web Sales in Canada. He said the company received a positive reaction from fleet owners since it moved to the Canadian market last month.
"FleetMatics moved into the Canadian market in December of last year and has experienced considerable positive reception to its unique GPS tracking solution," Brown said.
The system monitors truck speed, location and idle time, in an effort to reduce fuel consumption and improve employee efficiency.
"We are extremely excited that Canadian businesses have adopted our solution so readily and hope to further penetrate this market with a sales team focused solely on the unique needs of Canadian fleet owners," said FleetMatics CEO Jim Travers.
