Freightliner announces appointments at pre-owned division
PORTLAND, Ore. — Freightliner today announced a
leadership change at its used truck business Freightliner Market Development Corp.
Bill Gordon, who will devote full-time efforts toward a significant, strategic project on behalf of the truckmaker, will be replaced by Rich Ferguson, FMDC’s general manager of acquisitions and operations. Ferguson will report directly to Mark Lampert, senior Vice-president of sales.
Gordon has worked for Freightliner LLC for 30 years. During his tenure he held several key finance positions, including corporate treasurer. In
1996, he was named FMDC’s first president, and led the creation of SelecTrucks, Freightliner’s used truck distribution network, which now has 41 outlets in the U.S. and Canada.
