Fuelish Thoughts
Whether you follow a well-crafted strategy for buying and conserving fuel, or you simply pray for a fuel surcharge and tell drivers to lay off the A/C, Natural Resources Canada has a few bright ideas to help you deal with the inevitable rise in the cost of fuel this summer.
NRCan, which promotes fuel efficiency through its FleetSmart and SmartDriver programs, will hold Windsor Workshop 2001 June 3-6 at the Cleary Convention Centre in Windsor, Ont. Sessions will look at fuel-wise ideas tips for fleet managers, with Air Liquide’s private fleet, the City of Hamilton, Ont., and truckload carriers Bison Transport of Winnipeg, and SGT 2000 of Saint-Germain-de-Grantham, Que., serving as case studies. Other seminars will address incentives for drivers to reduce fuel use, refueling infrastructure, and government emissions policies.
Registration and program details are online at www.windsorworkshop2001.com. Or phone 613/947-4291.
