Gaetz named president and CEO of Vitran Corp.
TORONTO (April 2, 2002) — Vitran Corp., parent of Vitran Express, named Rick Gaetz president and chief executive officer effective May 2, the date of Vitran’s annual shareholders meeting.
Gaetz, president and chief operating officer of Vitran’s Distribution Systems division, succeeds Rick McGraw, who has been president and CEO since he co-founded the business in 1983. McGraw will become non-executive chairman of the board, replacing Anthony F. Griffiths, also a co-founder of the Company, who remains on Vitran’s board.
Based in Toronto, Vitran Corp. is a North American group of transportation companies offering less-than-truckload, logistics, truckload, intermodal and truck brokerage services.
