G’Day, Eh? US lighting giant forms partnerships in Canada
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Grant Brothers Sales Ltd., of Mississauga and G’Day Warehousing Inc., of nearby Brampton have formed new partnerships with Peterson Manufacturing, one of North America’s leading lighting producers.
Company reps say the new alliances is a corporate response to the specialized needs of the safety lighting business north of the 49th.
With Canada’s largest sales force in the automotive, hardware and heavy duty markets, Grant Brothers provides the strong, in-the-field presence that Peterson was seeking as part of their renewed focus on Canadian sales.
On the distribution side, G’Day Warehousing will now provide distribution center services for the Peterson line. According to a company announcement, G’Day is a family-owned business whose modern, computerized facilities plus transportation and courier coordination ensure the fast, efficient customer service that have been hallmarks of Peterson Manufacturing.
Until this announcement, Peterson enjoyed a long relationship with Spartan Agencies Ltd./Spartan Warehousing Ltd. in western Canada and Spartan Marketing Services Inc. and NAFTA Warehousing Services Inc. in the East.
According to Art Richardson, Peterson VP of Sales, the changing demands of today’s transportation market makes Grant Brothers and G’Day more compatible agents for Peterson.
“We are very pleased with our new Canadian alliances,” Richardson said. “Their corporate cultures of honesty and integrity, and their commitment to the highest levels of responsive customer service, make them ideal partners for Peterson. With their help, we are determined to be the most respected vehicle safety lighting brand in the Canadian marketplace.”
Peterson Manufacturing, headquartered in Grandview, Missouri, produces a complete line of vehicle safety lighting, mirrors, reflectors, antennas and related products, not to mention the tail, signal and brake lights for Harley-Davidsons.
