Denso Sales California, an affiliate of the Denso Corp., a maker of starters and alternators, introduced a 24-volt 8.0kW planetary gear reduction starter for heavy trucks. The unit is compact and light weight-tipping the scales at 38 pounds-so it’s easy to install. The high torque design offers maximum starting power and improved cold starting, and the slow rotating engagement improves the durability of pinion and ring gear. Needle bearing in-drive housing allows for long life operation of the vehicle and a rotatable drive housing gives you a wide range of applications.
