Globalstar Reduces Prices
Four new price plans are now available from Globalstar Canada, a leading satellite telephone service provider, with high-use packages priced as low as 32 cents per minute and the recommended list price for handsets dropped by one-third to $995.
The new pricing lets customers choose from a range of per-minute call charges based on their anticipated monthly usage, with a single rate for calls to any location in Canada and the United States, including offshore maritime regions, with no additional long-distance charges applied.
The four price plans are Timeline 30 ($49.95 a month for 30 voice or data minutes); Skyline 150 ($99.95 for 150 minutes); Skyline 350 ($149.95 for 350 minutes); and Powerline 1250 ($399.95 for 1,250 minutes). Additional minutes range from 89 cents for the 1250 package to $1.59 for the Timeline 30 package.
