Goodyear launches tire breakdown program for owner-ops

AKRON, Ohio, (May 7, 2004) — Goodyear Tires is offering owner-operators a value-added service to get them rolling as soon as possible after a tire-related breakdown.

The company has launched the 4-TIRES-NOW program for Goodyear customers who find themselves on the side of the road due to underinflated or damaged rubber. No matter what brand of tires the owner-ops are running at the time, a simple call to 1-877- 4-TIRES-NOW will put the driver in touch with a dispatcher, who will pinpoint the caller’s location using advanced mapping technology.

The dispatcher will then locate the closest Goodyear commercial tire dealer out of 1,600 U.S. locations and 200 Canadian sites to handle the repair.

The service is available day or night, 365 days a year, anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.
