Greatwest Kenworth shows off new green pits

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. — One of Western Canada’s most well-known dealerships will become the first Canadian business to install the environmentally friendly Envir-Lube system.

Greatwest Kenworth in Lethbridge, Alta. will show off its new all-fiberglass composite structure service bay in front of customers and media today.

Envir-Lube is said to be an environmentally safe alternative to the standard concrete service pit. The fiberglass structure is “non-pours” preventing the seepage of oil and other contaminates back into the environment.

Lethbridge Greatwest Kenworth Dealership is the first Canadian outlet to install this technology, which is distributed nationally by Stewart Warner Alemite Lubrication Equipment.

“Our ownership is very forward thinking and always looking for the latest ideas and concepts to make sure we are up to date, especially when it comes to the environment,” says Bob Laidlaw of Greatwest Kenworth Trucking Ltd.
