Green energy firm expands commercial engine research
ANDERSON, Ind. — O2Diesel, a pioneer in the commercial development of clean-burning diesel fuel alternatives has been enlisted by Flagship Energy Systems Center in offering an ethanol-based green technology for significantly improving both the performance and emissions of heavy-duty diesel engines.
Engineered and designed for universal application, O2Diesel is an ethanol-diesel blend that substantially reduces harmful emissions without sacrificing power or performance.
O2Diesel CEO Alan Rae says: “We are confident that the synergies, technological expertise and university alliances here in Anderson will provide our company with enhanced resources to advance our products and pursue new markets.”
Adds chairman of the Flagship Energy Systems Center, Thomas J. Snyder: “These new initiatives will provide our community with a new technology base for future jobs and economic development.”
Created through a partnership between Anderson University and the city, the Flagship Energy Systems Center functions in concert with the Purdue Energy Center at Discovery Park to promote the development and commercialization of new energy technologies associated with generation, conversion and storage of energy for both transportation and distributed generation markets.
