Green truck, parts makers launch website

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — The aptly-named Green Truck Association, an affiliate division of the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA), has gone live with greentruckassociation.com, described by the group as a central clearinghouse for the development and deployment of "green" trucks.

"We are pleased to offer vital resources and tools to highlight the latest developments, information and research in this evolving and growing industry," said Doyle Sumrall, GTA’s managing director.

The site offers industry news, technical resources, legislative and regulatory activity info, research findings and studies, education and training and a link of key industry contacts.

The Green Truck Association was established earlier this year in recognition of the growing interest and demand for green products within the work truck industry.

Executives from Freightliner Trucks, DUECO, Inc., Eaton Corp. and ROUSH Performance make up the GTA’s inaugural Board.
