Guilbault leaders honoured by Quebec Trucking Association
QUEBEC CITY (May 13, 2002) — Jean Guilbault and Michell Gignac, founders of the Quebec City transport firm Groupe Guilbault, were named “personalities of the year by the Quebec Trucking Association at its annual convention May 3.
Guilbault, the company’s president and general manager, and Michel Gignac, executive vice-president, manage Quebec’s fifth largest for-hire fleet. It was the first time the award has been presented to two people.
Meanwhile, Marc Barrette, driver of B-trains for Transport LRL, a company in Ville-Marie, Que., received the Volvo Canada Driver of the Year Award. Barrette carries an 18-year accident-free record.
