Harper moves into the bus biz

TORONTO — One of the most familiar names on the Canadian trucking landscape is expanding its line of products by pairing with one of the continent’s biggest school-bus manufacturers.

Paul and Steve Harper, owners of Harper Group Inc., the parent company of Harper Power Products Inc., have announced the addition of Thomas Built Buses to their product line-up of offerings.

Thomas produces about one third of all the school buses on the continent and is division of Daimler Trucks North America.

"The addition of Thomas Built Buses to the Harper network is another milestone in our company’s history as we can now offer our customers the broadest selection of commercial vehicles anywhere in Ontario,” said Paul Harper.
