Have you seen Mike Doucette? Clarke owner-op missing

TORONTO (March 15, 2003) — Brampton, Ont.-based owner-operator Mike Doucette was reported missing in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., on Friday, March 6. He was last spoken to on March 2 at the north-end Husky truckstop there. His truck, a gray and blue 1999 International 9900i, leased to Clarke Road Transport, was found abandoned in the parking lot of the east-end Husky four days later.

Doucette was en route to Winnipeg, with a delivery in Wawa, Ont., scheduled for Monday, March 3. He never made the delivery, and failed to make a rendezvous with a close friend planned for after that delivery. Doucette was seen on the Friday night in at least one bar in the Soo.

He was on the cover of last November’s issue of highwaySTAR magazine, the sister publication of Today’s Trucking.

Anyone with information regarding Mike Doucette is asked to call Const. Romano Carlucci of the Sault Ste. Marie Police service at 705/949-6300; e-mail: r.carlucci@ssmps.org
