Hear here! New podcast lets you eavesdrop on motor-noters

TORONTO — Ever wonder who writes these words that you’re reading?

And do you ever shake your head in disbelief (or amazement) at the stuff trucking journalists (a.k.a. motor noters) produce?

The fact is, this story, as well as the others on todaystrucking.com (and in the pages of your favorite trucking magazines Today’s Trucking and Highway Star) are produced by a team of editors at Newcom Business Media.

And starting this week, those editors invite you behind the screen with their new audio Dispatches podcast, in which they — Allan Janssen, Marco Beghetto and Peter Carter — debate, argue, (and sometimes agree with each other) over the big issues of the day.

They examine trucking and transportation, of course, but aren’t afraid to stray off the path a bit to riff on an array of other issues like politics and media.

This week (which you can listen to or download for FREE right here), the trio hit hours-of-service, distracted driving (turns out at least one of them is in favor of it!); err, the Sopranos; and they even have a go at how well the Marxist-Leninist, truck driving federal candidate might do in next week’s federal election.

After you hear what THEY think, let’em know what YOU think.

And be sure to check back frequently for new podcast episodes.
