Hello? It’s your engine calling… FleetSmart seminar to explore ECM management

OTTAWA (Feb. 10, 2003) — Natural Resources Canada through the Office of Energy Efficiency’s FleetSmart Program will host the second in a series of free technical workshops on fuel management for heavy truck operators. The workshop will be held at 7 p.m. March 26 at the Four Points Sheraton-Toronto Airport, 5444 Dixie Road in Mississauga, Ont.

The two-hour session will address the role diesel engine controls play in controlling fuel consumption. Representatives from Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel/Mercedes-Benz and Volvo/Mack will talk about how to set up your engine parameters, the importance of controlling fuel, how to extract and interpret data from the engine’s electronic control module.
