Hendrickon goes heavy
Hendrickson
Hendrickson International’s PRIMAAX 46,000-pound air suspension is designed to minimize suspension-induced driveline vibration, a phenomenon often found in trailing arm air suspensions, says marketing manager Sean Coleman, Sr. “Heavy-haul applications spec’ing high-torque engines will really like the lack of torque windup with PRIMAAX,” he explains. Its suspension geometry reduces driveline vibration and also results in greater stability-up to twice the amount of roll stiffness as other air-ride suspensions, Coleman says.
With a focus on improving ride and handling for on/off road applications, PRIMAAX has large-volume air springs and heavy-duty shock absorbers, all packaged within the envelope of the tire for additional clearance benefits.
In addition to the 46,000-pound tandem rating, PRIMAAX is available in single and tridem axle ratings of 23,000 and 69,000 pounds. It can be used with multiple lift axles and GCWR of 180,000 pounds.
