Hino Delivers Workhorse for Canada

Hino Canada has introduced a new flagship cabover specifically tailored for Canada. The new “workhorse” SG3325 model, previously available only in Japan, will be available here in 2002. The company says the truck, with a 9-speed Eaton Fuller RT8709 transmission and a gross vehicle weight of 33,000 pounds and a payload capacity of 22,800 pounds, is ideally suited for Canadian applications such as vehicle transport carriers, building and construction, and reefer bodies. It comes with Hino’s J-Series six-cylinder overhead-cam, turbo-intercooled, 252-horsepower diesel engine. A five-speed Allison MD automatic is optional. The SG3325, like all Hino trucks brought into Canada, is made in Japan.
