Honeywell realigns Canadian aftermarket group
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. (Feb. 26, 2002) — Honeywell’s aftermarket business in Canada, consisting of FRAM filters, Autolite electronics, and Prestone products, has been brought together to form the Consumer Products Group (CPG).
The move follows the separation of the Bendix brake business from Honeywell’s Canadian operation last year.
Gordon Robertson, managing director of CPG, said the formation of the new group allows the company to bring three strong brands together and create benefits for customers.
“Our customers will be able to place one order, receive one shipment, and get one invoice for all three brands,” he said. “This will mean improved line fill rates, consistent order fulfillment cycle time, faster introduction of new models to the Canadian market, and the simultaneous launch of new products across North America.”
In addition to consolidating warehousing and distribution, CPG has brought all of its sales, marketing, and customer service personnel together under one roof at Honeywell’s Canadian headquarters at 3333 Unity Dr., Mississauga, Ont.
CPG President Dave Lundstedt, said, “Canada is an important part of our global business and we are taking steps to ensure our brands… continue to be leading brands in Canada as well as the rest of North America.”
CPG Canada can be reached at 1-877/447-2844.
As for the Bendix business, Honeywell Friction Materials will offer Canadian customers a U.S.-based international program. The company has ceased operations as a Canadian business entity.
“We understand that this new business model is a change for our Canada-based customers. It is currently being used in several countries around the world and has proven to be quite successful,” said Tim Jones, general manager for aftermarket at Honeywell Friction Materials.
