Ice Road Truckers show delivered across Canada
TORONTO — Finally, the critically acclaimed trucker show that’s filmed on Canadian soil will be broadcasted over Canadian airwaves too.
The History Channel’s Ice Road Truckers, which airs in the U.S. and other countries, will debut for the first time on Canadian television on March 4.
Canada’s History Television is taking on the show, ensuring Canadians will get to follow the exploits of six truckers who navigate heavy-duty rigs on the ice roads from Yellowknife to the diamond mines 600 km to the north.
The reality-based show has become a cult favorite in the U.S., and producers hope Canadians get hitched to the show as well.
