IdleAire unplugged
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — It looks like North America’s truckstops are going to take a lot longer to become electrified. IdleAire Technologies Corp., a provider of truckstop electrification for trucks and other related anti-idling services, has filed for bankruptcy in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
The company never made much profit from the start, and according to media reports, has amassed a total loss of more than $246 million since it went into operation.
In that annual report, company officials weren’t optimistic about its future either.
