Inaugural Rocky Mountain Truck show postponed
TORONTO — After discussions with key industry stakeholders, Newcom Business Media has announced that the first Rocky Mountain Truck Show is being rescheduled to 2009.
Newcom believes that due to the unique market conditions currently prevailing in Alberta, a successful truck show must include a broader range of vehicles and equipment, beyond that of a typical truck show. The next show must also attempt to address the serious recruitment issues that preoccupy the trucking industry in Alberta as well as attracting vocational market buyers who historically have not attended truck shows in significant numbers.
Newcom Business Media, parent company of Today’s Trucking magazine, is committed to presenting first class truck shows that respond to the needs of exhibitors. “By moving the Show to 2009, it will give us sufficient time to develop and stage the type of show we envision.”
