Indiana raises tolls for truckers
INDIANAPOLIS — The State of Indiana will phase in higher fees for trucks on the Indiana Toll Road instead of implementing a one-time fee hike this spring.
The decision was backed by the Indiana Motor Trucking Association, which had been lobbying for a gradual increase.
The move could help the Republican governor win support for a sweeping highway proposal that needs legislative approval.
