Integrated Fleet Software Just Logical
Freight Logix of Kitchener, Ont., has released a new version of its fleet management software that combines less-than-truckload, pickup and delivery, cartage, and truckload operations into one program.
Features include flexible order entry and shipment tracing, which lets customers tailor orders; multiple pickups and deliveries optimized for customer-specific routing; unlimited user-defined reference numbers; automatic customer e-mail notification; and shipment tracking and tracing over the Internet.
An automated rating system incorporates a wide variety of pricing variables. The system also has advanced planning and dispatch tools; integrated driver communications via Qualcomm and PeopleNet; reminder and task-management features; and a reporting and analysis function by trip, lane, customer, or truck and trailer.
