IntraUSA Group signs PACCAR distribution deal
TUKWILA, Wash. (Sept. 7, 2001) — The IntraUSA Group announced that it reached agreement with Renton, Wash.-based PACCAR Parts to catalog and distribute its DC power management products to Kenworth and Peterbilt dealers throughout North America.
The agreement marks Intra’s first major OEM parts contract. The order includes Intra’s Low-Voltage Disconnect (LVD) and Jump-Start Prevention Kit.
“For us, this is much more than just a parts order,” said Aly Jetha, president and CEO of The IntraUSA Group. “We’re a relatively young company offering a new technology. The fact that PACCAR Parts has recognized our products’ quality and durability — as well as their benefit for Kenworth and Peterbilt customers — is really an honor. This is a landmark day for us.”
The LVD is a cost-effective switch that allows the use of electrical appliances on the road while preserving battery power needed to start the engine. The LVD monitors battery levels, automatically disconnecting non-critical power loads when battery voltage reaches critical levels. The device is designed to reduce the need for jump-starts and extends the life of costly replacement items, such as starters and batteries.
Intra’s Jump-Start Prevention Kit is a portable battery-level monitor designed for truck fleets and dealers with dormant or standing vehicles.
