ITS America seminars examine in-vehicle info systems
WASHINGTON, D.C. (Aug. 4, 2000) — ITS America, a group that promotes intelligent vehicle and transportation initiatives, will host a series of panels Sept. 11 at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach, Calif., to look ahead at future communication and information technologies.
The event will bring together leaders in the field of ITS technology research, product development, content delivery, transportation infrastructure, and consulting and venture capital, among other specialties.
By 2005, more than $1.4 billion will be spent annually on hardware and $1.2 billion on services by at least 5 million travelers who will make regular use of in-vehicle information systems, the group said.
