J.D. Smith & Sons chairman Doug Smith passes away
RICHMOND HILL, Ont. (March 21, 2002) — Doug Smith, chairman of J.D. Smith & Sons, passed away on Sunday, March 17, after a long battle with cancer.
A funeral service was to be held today at the Richmond Hill United Church. Smith is survived by his wife Vivian and their family, Brian, Sue, and Scott.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made to York Central Hospital Foundation, 10 Trench St., Richmond Hill, ON L4C 4Z3, or the charity of your choice.
