June Trailer Orders Jump, Cancellations Down
COLUMBUS, IN – Trailer orders were up 7 percent in June, rising to 15,400 net trailer orders, ACT Research reported today.
Interestingly, the cancellation rate for June was only half of that posted in May, said Frank Maly, director-CV Transportation with ACT Research. “It appears that fleets are standing firm with their order commitments,” he noted.
The last month of a quarter typically shows a jump in production, Maly explained, and June was no exception. “Build reached the highest daily rate since December 2006,” Maly said.
