Kenwood’s DVD-based Nav System

Kenwood now sells a high-end DVD-based GPS navigation system featuring a hi-resolution color touch-screen display. Requiring only one disc to cover all of the U.S. and Canada, and offering 2D as well as 3D maps, the company says it will give drivers a more precise navigation system than pilots have in commercial jets. The new KNA-DV2100 features: easy-to-use on-screen menus; voice prompts, visual prompts and text turn-by-turn directions; choice of eight languages for both voice and text; a high-speed processor; a built-in national database of more than 750,000 destinations by name; and a compact flashcard port for receiving future updates to internal software.
