KRTS calls on industry to create career paths

CALEDONIA, Ont. — An Ontario truck driver training school and some of its partners are establishing a task force that targets career paths for truckers.

Kim Richardson of Kim Richardson Transportation Specialists in Caledonia, Ont. says that with thousands of for-hire and private fleets drawing from the same driver pool, the industry needs to outline career paths to be successful at recruitment and retention.

In a press release, Richardson called on industry stakeholders to hold a “round table” to discuss the next steps. A meeting is being planned for December.

Anyone interested in attending should contact KRTS Transportation Specialists Inc. at 1-800/771-8171.
