KRTS gets nom for mayoral award
CALEDONIA, Ont. — Kim Richardson Transportation Specialists has been nominated for the Mayor’s Community Service Award in Caledonia, Ont.
For the past six years KRTS associates and volunteers have paraded around the Caledonia community with their tractor-trailers, collecting food for the food bank.
The event, called Honk for Hunger, was initially launched to celebrate National Transportation Week, which celebrates an industry that employs over 300,000 people across Canada.
Honk for Hunger has collected over 127,000 pounds of food.
The winner of the mayoral award will be announced this week the Caledonia Chamber of Commerce.
