Leyman lifts off with smart technology
Leyman Lift Gates
The first commercial lift gate power unit to incorporate “smart” technology, including the ability to record key operating data and control unit performance in low-voltage and/or high-temperature conditions, has been introduced by Leyman Lift Gates, the company says.
The new MaintenanceMinder power unit, available on each of Leyman’ s premium gates, brings a full range of advanced functions designed to help fleets measure and record lift gate performance and operating data while protecting the gate from potentially damaging conditions.
It includes a backlit LCD display that indicates key data during operation, eliminating the need for a separate, hand-held reader.
The power unit is capable of simultaneously storing such operating information as number of low-voltage cycles, high temperature operations, number of overweight/over-pressure operations, number of lifts/cycles and total run time on motor. It also includes automatic low-voltage and high-temperature cutoffs with audible warning. In addition to recording the lift gate functions, the unit can be programmed to alert the user when scheduled maintenance is due and record when the work is performed.
MaintenanceMinder is available for the following Leyman lift gates: FDC Series Foldavador; FBG Series Foldavador; TLS Series Hide-A-Way; LHLP Series Hide-A-Way; and STG Series Hide-A-Way.
